Yeah, I've one long poem that I haven't touched since last year. I've been avoiding it. It's several pages long and I feel a bit overwhelmed at the thought of editing it, so I've been putting it off. Maybe next month I'll look at it...
5/27/2026That's a unique idea! I've never seen this in other platforms. That could be another thing that would make Wrizzit different from other social writing platforms.
5/25/2026I’m sorry you’re going through this. The US isn’t a real country; it’s one giant business and its citizens are its customers. There’s no social contract, no reciprocity, no basic respect. If there’s any flicker of light in that darkness, writing is one way to release some pressure.
5/24/2026"I left America with a duffel bag, heading to a place I’ve never been to start something new." This is what I did, too, when I left the US, 😆. Just a bag and $30 cash in my wallet (though I did have my credit card open for emergencies).
5/24/2026Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. I've tried writing a story with talking animals but I flopped... I didn't plan the plot very well and it got messy. I might try again.
5/24/2026Those are pretty neat looking dice!
5/24/2026I completely agree! Writers in the 20th century did a lot of self-promotion. But the internet certainly has changed how writers do self-promotion. A lot of platforms like writer groups on FB or X get inundated by a lot of writers self-promoting their work and readers began to tune them out. We can still use online platforms but it shouldn’t be the main space where we promote our work. I think we’d need to go offline for a few days at a time and do it the old school way. So, I’ve been thinking of self-publishing some of my stuff into physical books (no ebooks) and just carry some copies with me wherever I go in case people would be interested.
5/23/2026That is a really lovely shawl! ❤️ Love the colors he used, too.
5/23/2026Looks absolutely beautiful and peaceful!
5/22/2026Time flies for sure. Blink and the next thing you know it's May 2027!
5/17/2026Lucid dreaming! I've always been fascinated by that. I had a dream once that I was being chased by wild dogs and I flew to escape them.
5/12/2026It is a fact. :)
5/12/2026I wish we humans could get our act together and change our relationship with the land, returning to the way indigenous peoples have stewarded it.
5/12/2026You can never have too much wine. It's the healthiest fruit juice out there.
5/12/2026Hmmm... now you've got me interested. I'll add that to my TBR list.
5/12/2026Was the poetry only text on TikTok? Or did you do voiceover? I'm curious because I've considered TikTok for poetry, too. But I'm not so sure if it's even worth the time and energy.
5/12/2026Wrizzit has been, so far, the most engaging writing platform I’ve been on. I used to be on LiveJournal and Xanga yeeeaaars ago and those were the days when people actually had conversations (from my experience then). And things have died off, to me, after 2010. Wrizzit resurrected that kind of community I thought was gone for good.
5/8/2026This is a lovely piece! It's the simple things that we tend to take for granted. We do need to stop, look around us, and take it all in.
5/8/2026If only Jack ate more protein and did Pilates and 100 sit ups and push ups, he could be a good guy, too! I like your website, by the way. Very cool! (do young people still say cool?...)
