Pocketbooks for Kids
A rough idea that I feel is good enough to share.
I thought of this idea after I wrote, The Eternal Kernel. It's a rough idea, but it involves playing card-sized kids books made from food-grade silicone with short little stories like the one I mentioned and, Diminutive Don, from Tim Forsythe. I even wrote a new one last night:
Orc, the dork,
Was smart as a cork.
He tried to eat pork,
With the wrong end of his fork.
He’s never been keen,
On keeping himself clean.
He’s not strong and mean,
But gentle and lean.
For an orc he is lame.
It’s why ‘The Dork’ is his name.
He loves life just the same,
Though he often gets the blame.
Now, the idea is not just little books, but to somehow make them into a trading book game. Something simple that maybe involves the number of words on the open pages that are attack and defense.
Like I said, it's a rough idea, but it excites me when I think about it. Give me some time, and I know I'll develop something, but the biggest part of the development will be all of the little stories that need to be about something or someone that can fit into the game.
I'm open to any suggestions you all might have….[[|:-)
