One of the frustrating things with the larger writing sites was the sort of gamesmanship required to attract readers. There was a lot of algorithmic mythmaking and posturing that was taking place. The refreshing aspect of a clean slate is that the actual posts are available for everyone to read without being buried behind carnival barking and gatekeeping. Certainly, some people are more interested in the social/communal aspects of writing, but the driving force of "wanting your creative writing read" can really flourish here. So I appreciate this opportunity.
