Prancer, the Lancer
Prancer, the Lancer,
Is not a good dancer,
Yet quite the romancer,
This swift, handsome lancer.
In a joust he likes to leap,
Thus his angle is quite steep,
He strikes their head and they peep,
Then they fall down in a heap.
He’s undefeated; his record unflawed,
The scope of his fame is very broad,
Padding his ego and sparing the rod,
It’s no wonder he thinks he’s a god.
The Awful Waffle
The awful waffle,
So deformed it looks like falafel,
So gross they made it unlawful,
To make a waffle with offal.
When they served it to the King,
He prayed and kissed his ring,
Shouting, “What is this thing?”,
Turning up his nose at the offering.
The chef was found and detained,
Brought to the King and arraigned,
The chef bowed his head in disdain,
Punished; not to ever cook again.
The Dragon Wagon
The dragon wagon,
Is a wagon for draggin’,
A fuel-filled flagon,
For the fire-breathing dragon.
You see, he’s old and frail,
And missing most of his tail,
His roar is but a wail,
And his flame will always fail.
If not for the flagon of fuel,
He would not be seen as cruel,
He’d not last long in a duel,
He’d only be known as the fool.
The Short Fort
The short fort,
Has been demoted to a court,
But in defense they won’t abort,
In using it as a last resort.
The walls were not built high,
As the budget was all but nigh.
Even the bricks’ standards are shy,
Of any contractor’s supply.
The gate can be scaled with a leap,
The hill it’s on is not too steep.
It’s often used to corral sheep,
To clothe the denizens of the keep.
The Fickle Sickle
The fickle sickle,
Is worth less than a nickel,
Built softer than a pickle,
And only good for a tickle.
It won’t even reap what you sow,
It would get more use as a bow,
Your crop will just continue to grow,
It’s rather pathetic, we know.
It won’t harvest your grain,
It’s design is quite plain,
Using it is simply a pain,
Nothing to do but complain.
