My palm tree will open a new frond soon! Right in the center, there's a sheath that's just kind of a naked green stick right now. It's new and hasn't opened yet. This plant is a parlour palm, or lady palm. They grow very slowly indoors. I've had this one for six years, and it's about three feet tall. I've been told it could eventually reach six feet.
