I started working on a story last year that is a modern retelling of "Romeo and Juliet"... with a few twists. But there are certain scenes I'm uncomfortable writing. I'm uncomfortable reading those scenes in someone else's work, so writing them in my own work has been a big "Nope!" And that started getting in the way of me being able to tell the story at all. I had a good talk about it with someone today, and we may have found a solution! I'll have to redo a few things, make some changes in the direction it will go, but I think it will turn out to be an even better story than what I had originally thought of.
