I have a couple questions for yall I see a bunch of chapter/serial things here on Wrizzit. Is there a reason these aren't posted as just one story? And to the readers, would you prefer it all as one? Or the periodic serial posts? Also do you read them anyway, serial or not?

I'm currently reading about 10 different amazing serials on that "other" site. I'd read 'em here, too. It's like enjoying an episodic cliffhanger. But I also like a full book to sink into as well. So they are both good in my world. I think people prefer small bites, usually, on social media sites, so I get it. That's why I'm putting mine (THE RITUAL) out in smaller chunks.

Yeah, i understand the episodic cliffhanger. That makes sense, especially with short form content now, people generally like a little bit at a time. I've definitely seen yours around, I'll have to read it

Many stories began as serials! I think it was Charles Dickens who made a start in his writing career doing short serial stories in newspapers or whatever passed for magazines back then. The serial form has a long history. I enjoy reading them. I also still enjoy a full book. I think it mostly depends on the story and how it will be better told. Some do well as episodic bites and others are best told all at once. I've also seen some serials become books after.
