me: *talking about the gulf setting in one of my stories* my boyfriend, a man: *mansplains something* and further asks "you do know what a gulf is right?" me, architecture student who studied middle eastern geography & lived in the arabian gulf region for 5 years: yes :) + i actually do research on things i include in my writing! it really irks me when a man gives me that look of judgement and asks in that tone "you do know what *this* is, right?" oh gosh, i can't be the only one who gets annoyed by this >:(

It is annoying honestly! Men think we don’t know anything at all! At least I have humbled many of them, especially in science and maths💅 Your boyfriend shouldn’t even question you knowing about a gulf🥲you are so extraordinary honestly! You know so many things AND you create stories with that knowledge. Smartness combined with creativity is true intelligence✨.
