It turns out I wasn't building van Gogh's Starry Night painting, after all! There's a little platform in front for the Vincent minifigure and his tiny painting to stand on. I built his view from the window.

It was definitely a lesson in trusting the process! I was frequently following the instructions with no idea what part I was building.

I'm very impressed by the LEGO designers. They put a lot of interesting mechanics in it to make using blocks to build something with swirls and curvy textures possible.

They really have come a long way since the spaceships and castles I built back in the day....[[|:-)
