Even if you don’t annotate in the book, writing notes on the side is the only way I read nowadays and I loveee it so much. I can actually remember what I read and reference back to my notes.

I do annotate some poetry or non-fiction books. I’m of the opinion that you “should” do whatever you want to get full enjoyment out of your books.
