Good morning, Wrizziters. 🤍 The House That Sighs, my newest gothic short story, drops tomorrow. A dark retelling of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, it follows an exhausted writer who moves to Holloway, her husband’s centuries-old estate on the Irish coast, hoping the sea air will cure her writer’s fatigue. Instead, the house begins to push back. Under the watchful eye of the austere housekeeper, Mrs Morland, Holloway grows increasingly hostile—until the writer must decide whether to fight for her place within its walls or abandon a house that refuses to accept her.
