I feel conflicted about an ARC review I'm writing because, whole the plot itself is quite riveting, the quality of writing leaves much to be desired. It's even more difficult because the author is a friend of mine. I'm trying to find the middle ground between not sugarcoating it and being honest. Anyone else been in a similar spot?
