For everything, down to the scribbles.
For everything, down to the scribbles.
I write primarily political commentary pieces, though not dry policy wonk shit like a lot of others do. My work is driven and informed by my time as a street medic/black bloc protester, spanning 2019-2022. I draw on the lessons I learned in that era to inform my approach to political analysis: always consider multiple intersecting forces within even the simplest conflict, class war is waged every day by the wealthy and the armed wings of the state they've captured (most PDs, ICE/CBP/FBI, etc). My work as an organizer began with the "Sanctuary City Now!" movement in Colorado Springs, and I stayed largely active throughout the pandemic/BLM Summer and afterward until I moved back east. I began writing SLSC as a way to help shift the Overton Window toward a future we deserve rather than the calamity we've been engineering. I use sharp/direct/idiosyncratic writing as a political tool specifically attempting to help mobilize the disillusioned working poor. People deserve to have agency.
