I did not think I’d break 1000 characters by generalizing my career. Whew. Begin part 2. My work is all over the internet. I’ve used about a dozen pen names. Written about mental health, mental illness, as a patient, as a peer with helpful tips. I’m currently looking at becoming one of the unhoused in 1-2 years. I have no savings. I’m currently in my fourth year of the battle for Social Security benefits. I’ve been turned down 4 times without anyone ever talking to me. I have a hearing with a judge in the next 6 weeks. If that falls through, it’s the final nail. I will officially have no future. I don’t like to talk about these things, because I’d much prefer to work. Unfortunately, the COVID quarantine forcefully severed almost every single connection in publishing and anything else. Half the jobs I used to work no longer exist. Carry on to post 3
