do you know the possibilities the digests allow? you could have more than one writer write a story one chapter at a time, where the next person has to continue from where the previous writer left off. you can have two people write to each other back and forth as fictional characters writing letters. this is amazing!!!!!

ahhh fuck who wants to do that second idea with me, now!!! no planning, no agreeing on who our characters are. one of the writers starts and that will set what the relationship is. and then the other writer responds. and that's how the story unfolds. and it's letters. so the story is technically unfolding in real time for the writers as for the readers, because the writer doesnt know where the other is gonna go with it.

Th here’s a lot of great ways to that sort of stuff. I’ve been writing my whole life. I’ve played all kinds of “hand-off” and “shuffle” and “pass it around” type games. There are sooo many. I know we’re going to see a lot of that soon.
