we need poetry and memoir genres. non-fiction is too broad i think. like yeah, I write non fiction but it's of the sad variety.

Could be under blog, I didn't consider it! That's not bad, but I don't automatically equate blog to memoir. Blog is more "keep up with my day to day" vibes.

I wouldn't. I consider personal essays, memoirs, part of creative non-fiction. Blog has gotten the stigma that it is more 'in-the-action' and less of a structured, thought out piece.

There is a poetry genre. I do agree on the memoir genre. I also need an essay subject for all kinds of essays!

You're right! I just saw poetry is a genre once I went on profile settings, but for some reason I can't scroll past "humour" on the sidebar, so they don't all show there for me to click and search

Love this! I write the same things But it's all poetic narrative style so "poetry" worked for me.
