To the boy I know;
Dont give up.

To the boy I know;
You have a good life. A good house. Good food.
You have parents who will support you, and siblings who may laugh at you, but will catch you when you fall.
You have good friends. More or less. They might not be the best of the bunch, but they’re always there.
You’re young. Not too young. But not too old, either. You’re in between. You have messy brown hair, and gray eyes usually framed with round glasses. You’re tiny. People usually think you’re a lot younger than you are. You have freckles on your face that you feel insecure about now and then.
You’re also kind of short. But don’t worry, you’ll grow.
You’re probably asking yourself, ‘How does this person know me? I’ve never met them in my life!’
It’s understandable. I’ll explain in the end. But first, I have a few things I wanna say. Not bad things. Just things. Things you seem to overlook a lot.
You always put so much pressure on yourself to be the perfect child. Why? No one in your family expects you to be perfect. The only person who expects you to be perfect is yourself. And…you’re not perfect. None of us are. Sometimes you have to remember that.
Your friends I mentioned before? They are good friends. They’re gonna stand by your side forever. You’ll meet other friends, too. Specifically two:
One girl, that’s kinda like me. Passionate. Ambitious. She’s very invested in writing her first novel. You won’t meet her for a couple of years, but when you do? Don’t push her away.
And one boy. He’s a troublemaker. There’s no doubting it. They say he rigged the headmaster’s office with booby traps once. But, once you get to know him…he’ll turn out to be a really great guy. Well, that is, until he turns into a criminal mastermind at age 23. But that won’t happen for about ten years.
I have one more thing to say before I go, and you can get back to your…whatever you were doing before. It’s hard to say with you.
You’ll experience a lot of things in life. A lot of hard things. Not just losses. People will…hurt you. Emotionally. Physically. A lot physically. Even when you tell them to stop. Power through it. Become the man I know you can be. And when you get there? I’ll still be here. Watching.
At this point, you’re probably really wondering who I am.
I’m your author.
And I promise on my life I’ll always be here.
