The House with the Yellow Door
If you see the house with the yellow door, you should enter.
You don’t have to. Many find the house but also find that they can’t bear to leave the world that they know behind. They know this even before entering and choose to walk on by.
And many of those who walk on by, also find that they no longer see the house nor the yellow door. It doesn’t matter how many times they try.
But there are a few of those who see the house and the yellow door, time and time again. Most of them eventually enter. None of them leave.
A little girl saw the house with the yellow door. She wasn’t that little, only most saw her as little because she hadn’t grown up in the way many who have food available to them do. She was little in stature and even littler in her conversation. But she always saw the yellow door to the house.
On the day she walked in through the yellow door, the house went away for a while. It was as if to say the house was full or needed the time to digest her.
Eventually the house and the yellow door reappeared, and the girl was no longer little. That was when the world knew what the house was doing.
But the yellow door knew differently.
