The destined one

The next day Vale woke up early and was ready to meet with Miss Amanda and start his training for swordsmanship. He also wanted to know his swordsmanship title.

(I just have to wait for Miss Amanda now. So that I can start my swordsmanship training.)

As Vale was waiting for Miss Amanda he heard footsteps coming towards his room, after some more seconds of walking the person finally entered the room.

“Good morning, Valerius.”

“Good morning Miss Amanda-”

Vale had a surprised look. The person standing in front of him was someone who he had no idea who was.

“Hmm? Are you the librarian?”

Vale raised a question while being confused. The lady standing in front of him was genuinely surprised.

“Yes, bravo young man.”

“Thanks.”

“I hear you won't be coming to the library today.”

“Yeah, actually….”

“Don't worry about it, I am just here to say a war is about to happen and I will not open the library for some days. So Amanda will teach you about the basics of magic.

“Thank you very much.” Vale said with a surprised yet cautious look.

Then Miss Adriana quietly left the room.

Finally, the person Vale was waiting for arrived at the last minute. Also currently Vale had one arm and the other one was merely a support created through magic for basic use.

“Valerius, are you ready for your swordsmanship training?”

“Yes, I would also like to ask you something, Miss Amanda.”

“What do you want to ask Valerius?”

“Can you please tell me about the system related to the monsters?”

“You don't know about it?”

“yes.”

“Very well, I will tell you about that.”

“Thank you very much, Miss Amanda.”

“Well, then let's leave for the forest.”

“Forest?”

“I will explain when we reach the forest.”

Both of them left the room and started walking towards the forests. After walking for some time they reached the forest

“Yes, then Valerius now you will be fighting with a monster and the outcome and the way you use your sword will decide what title you currently are at.”

“Very well. What monster will I be fighting?”

“The very first monster we encounter. Don't worry if it's a very strong monster, I will step in but only if it looks like it is going to kill you.”

“I understand.”

They both started walking into the forest again they walked for quite some time but they couldn't find a monster

“It's strange. Why are there no monsters here?”

Just as Amanda finished speaking, something was making its way towards Valerius and Amanda. Amanda sensed that monster and asked Valerius to stay on his guard

“Smething is coming our way, Valerius get ready to fight.”

After some time the monster came into view.

It was a huge monster. It was black in colour with two huge tusks and a giant single horn and it had armor covering his entire body.

On seeing Valerius and Amanda the monster let out a loud warcry and came into a position to attack them, seeing that Amanda instructed Valerius to get ready as well.

“It's a great armored boar, it's a tough first opponent. Can you beat him, Valerius?”

“Yes.”

“Very well, good luck Valerius.”

Stating that Amanda moved near a tree so as to not get in the way of the fight that was about to happen between Valerius and the greater armored boar.

Seeing that the boar understood that Valerius was the current enemy and not Amanda.

“Vale the swordsmanship titles are various titles given to people on the basis of their ranks.”

“Huh?”

“There are various ranks but they are more like schools with each individual school you master you can learn various skills only limited to that school.”

“Why right now? This is not a game, Miss Amanda."

“This way you will remember it for the rest of your life.”

Vale was surprised, seeing that Amanda started explaining the Swordsmanship system but he focused on his fight.

Valerius moved first he quickly closed the distance between them and removed his rapier from his scabbard by throwing his rapier slightly into the air to create more force and just before reaching the boar, he quickly changed his direction to the right of the boar and tried to pierce him with his rapier.

The boar quickly moved his face so as to block Valerius’ attack with his single horn.

The sound of two metal colliding echoed in the forest and it looked like both were evenly matched in terms of strength.

Suddenly many magic circles appeared below Valerius' legs seeing that Vale quickly made some distance between him and the boar and a huge stone thorn appeared where Valerius was standing before.

A lot of more magic circles appeared all over the place where Valerius and the boar were fighting. Valerius quickly started running and dodging the stone thorns that were appearing all over the ground.

“Damnit, I have to find a way to defeat this boar quickly.”

As Valerius dodged all the attacks from the boar this time,the boar started closing the distance between them. The boar was running at a quick speed and in a matter of seconds the boar had closed the distance between him and Valerius.

The boar tried to pierce Valerius with his large horn but Valerius caught his horn with one hand and quickly moved him away and used his rapier to attack him.

The boar dodged it by using his tusk and the boar used his other tusk to attack Valerius.

(This is getting problematic and dangerous every passing second.)

Valerius thought and jumped behind from where he was standing before.Valerius found that behind him there was a huge tree so he started provoking the boar.

“Hey,you stupid boar no matter what kind of armor you wear you will always stay a pig.”

Hearing that the boar got more angry and charged at Valerius.

Valerius sensing the opportunity waited for the right moment and just before the horn could pierce him.

Valerius moved away and the boar collided with the giant tree as a result his giant horn got stuck in the tree, Valerius quietly started walking towards the boar and raised his rapier to pierce his neck and kill him.

But before he could do that the boar quickly removed its stuck horn from the tree and tried to charge at Valerius.

Valerius got surprised only for a few seconds before catching his horn with his rapier.

Sparks were flying and they clashed again and again and finally the Boar took hit and was thrown far away on the ground. Vale thought he had finally won but still mentioned Caution. Just as he made his way towards him while seeing Amanda expression that was blank.

The boar quickly got up and used its long horn to completely destroy the magic hand and now passed electric magic into it.

This led to a lot of currents going into the hand of the already deeply injured Hand.

Large amounts of blood were dripping down Vale's hand and the boar now seemed to be enjoying the hunt.

The boar looked at Amanda as if the next one was her to be killed. If Vale gets killed.

But she barely had any reaction.

“AAGH”

Vale screamed but didn't move away. Vale had learned his lesson that going in without a plan or trying to fight just out of instinct will lead to this. That's why he calmly analysed instead of getting angry he waited for the opportunity to come. Which was also what Amanda wanted to teach him.

The boar finally used his stone magic again, the magic circle was below Valerius.

But this time, Valerius only moved slightly to not let the thorn pierce him and used the stone thorn as a foothold and jumped above the boar.

He landed on the boar head and he pierced his head.

“I won, pig.”

“Good job Valerius, It was an excellent fight.”

“Thank you very much, Miss Amanda.”

“We will carry this boar to the town, it will be used as a food today.”

“I understand.”

“Lets discuss your swordsmanship title now.”

“Very well.” Amanda said calmly yet her expression was completely serious. “It seems I have an idea what kind of magic you have.”
