“Do you have anything more you want to ask?”

Everina asked Vale politely while trying to attack his throat with her hands.

“Clack”

Vale caught her hand just before she could pass her hand into his throat and out from the back of his neck.

“Is there a library around here? I want to read some books about magic, swordsmanship and history.”

“A library? There is one. It is managed by an old lady.”

Everina answered the question asked by Vale.

“Can you give me directions to the library?”

“Sure.”

“Clang” X2

Everina quickly moved away from Vale as she tried to kick him using her moving back as an excuse. By doing a back flip in the air to move back she tried attacking the face of Vale.

“Clack*

Vale used his arm to dodge from the attack and used his other arm to attack her legs, she moved back just in time to not get her legs caught into an attack.

“Do you know about magic systems?”

“No, I have always been alone, living in a forest by myself. So I don't know much about civilization.”

“Suspicious but since you helped, Seraph I will overlook it for the time being but remember if you make Seraph cry then you know what will happen, right?”

“ye..yes.” Vale looked as if he was getting hunted by an eagle.”I understand” Vale nodded gently.

“I will leave you alone for sometime,so that you can get some rest.”

“Thanks.”

As Everina left the room, Vale thought about the things he must do now, which included learning swordsmanship, understanding magic and if possible fight fang again.

In order to fight fang he must find a way to stay in this town for the time and also train and become stronger, far stronger than he currently was.

“Guess, I will get some rest.”

As Vale tried to think of further things, sleep quickly came over him, during the same time as Vale was resting a meeting was going on between the clan head and his vassal.

So, who is that boy and where did he come from?

“Princess has said that she met him during the time she was out collecting medicinal herbs.

“.....”

“He protected her but he didn't look strong and according to the princess his one punch was enough to make that snake male stagger on his feet.”

“hmm,I see.”

“Seeing how strong Seraphina is and although injured from the previous battle, she is one of the strongest amongst us the sable people. so if she says that boy is strong then he must be strong.”

The prime minister spoke these words to the clan head.

“We will see that.”

“And also it looks like the princess is quite fond of Valerius.”

“Clan head Heron, also it looks like the medicinal herbs that the princess brought works on the crown prince.”

“what? Is what you are saying true?”

Not believing what the Prime Minister had said, the Clan head asked again.

“Yes, clan head Heron, what I am saying is true.”

The person called Heron, the clan head, was called by his name by the prime minister. He was a man in his 50s and looked rather sharp. He was a handsome man who would kill anyone for his daughter.

“If it is true then this calls for a celebration.”

The clan head Heron said with a voice that had happiness in it yet he looked lonely by the fact that he lost so many years seeing his son grow because of his foolishness.

“Yes, but that will have to wait for some time as we have to find a way to get those medicinal herbs. Should we re-negotiate the treaty?”

“What treaty are you talking about? The moment they attacked Seraphina, the treaty was already null and void.”

The clan head said angrily to the prime minister. One could see how much he loved Seraphina as a father.

“Now we know that the area that they asked from us have medicinal herbs that can potentially cure Claudius. We can also assume that they knew about it and still didn't provide us with that crucial information.”

“What should we do then, clan head Heron?

“It's simple. We will declare war on them.

Start amassing our troops and ask them to prepare for a war.

Heron declared that with hatred in his eyes not only because they probably hid the fact that his son can be cured and also the most important fact that Seraphina was attacked.

“As you say,clan head heron.”

“Just how much our people have suffered due to those lowlife snake tribes.”

Heron, barely containing himself, remembered that the war had cost many lives and this was the time to end it once and for all.

“This is the right time. We will attack them and kill them all, that is it.”

“Yes, clan head heron.”

As the meeting was ending, it was already evening and someone was making her way to the room where Vale was resting.

It was none other than Seraphina. As she entered the room she saw her beloved Vale sleeping soundly; she couldn't believe that she could fall in love.

She has always been a tomboyish girl with no interest in things like love and yet here she was falling deeply in love with Vale.

As she came near the bed where Vale was sleeping she silently sat on the chair near his bed and quietly whispered.

“Vale,

Are you awake?

Oii Vale-

It's time for dinner,you know.”

As she was saying that,Vale quietly opened his eyes and he saw Seraphina quietly sitting near him asking him to wake up for dinner.

As he was about to get up. Two guards came into the room pushing a trolley.

It had food on it. As they came closer Vale couldn't look at what food they brought as it was covered. Vale thought it must be the soup he ate before.

As he was about to say something, the guards quickly opened their mouths.

“This is your food human”

Saying that they slowly started uncovering the food.

It looked like it was some sort of stew and bread with a lot of meat and vegetables.

“This is your food for tonight we will come again tomorrow morning with your breakfast so eat and get well”

“Thank you very much.”

Saying that the guards saluted the princess and left the room without saying any words anymore.

As Vale was about to start eating the food Seraphina suddenly stopped him and she picked up the bread, dipped it into the stew and raised her hand with the food towards Vale's mouth.

Vale quietly ate the food that Seraphina was feeding him

“Vale, I heard from Miss Everina that you want to go to the library.”

“Yes.”

“Can I accompany you?”

“Sure, I don't mind you coming along with me to the library.”

“And about the swordsmanship instructor that you were asking about.”

Seraph started talking about the sword instructor to train Vale.

“I have asked my father about it and he said he will send someone tomorrow morning to meet you. The person that will arrive to meet you will be the sword instructor that will be teaching you how to use a rapier properly.”

“Do you know about the instructor?”

“No, I don't know that person.”

“I understand.”

“So what magic symbol do you have?”

“A triangle.”

“What elements can you use?”

“Stone magic, wind magic and dark magic.”

“Your brother can use four elements and you can use three.”

Taking her brother’s name Seraphina looked a little sad.

“Hey, would you like to eat a sweet that I can make?”

“Sweets?”

Seraph exclaimed with excitement and happiness.

“Yes, after this is all done, I will make sweets for you. Is that fine?”

“Thank you. Vale, you are the Cutest.”

Vale, trying to hide his embarrassment, tried to switch topics quickly.

“Do snake people also use three elements?”

“No, most people can only use one element and a maximum of two. Only selected people can use three or four elements.”

“Is there anyone with more than four elements?”

“No, I don't know of anyone like this in this town. The demon emperor is the only person currently with a hexagon; only he can use six elements.”

“Are there any strong people in the snake tribes town?”

“I don't think so. If they had any strong person like that they would have definitely attacked the Sable people.”

“The Sable people?”

Seraph looked at Vale with a slightly soft smile on her face. She knew Vale was an odd human but he was only turning out to be even odd yet Seraphina could still feel a lot of love for Vale.

“Yes, us scorpion tribe, call ourselves the Sable people.”

“And what do snake tribes call themselves?”

“They call themselves the Serpentes.”

By the time Vale finished eating his food. It was already quite late in the night. Vale saw outside the room and he found two female attendants standing there quietly. As they saw Vale finish eating his food, they quietly entered the room and started taking the food trolley out of the room.

“It's already late at night Vale. I shouldn't disturb you anymore so I will be taking my leave.”

“I will come back again in the morning and if you

r leg gets better tomorrow, let's go to the library.”

Seraph said this with a beautiful smile on her face.

“Yeah, Seraphina.”

Valerius replied quietly to Seraphina thinking about his behaviour towards her at the beginning.
