"You are doing good in keeping up with me, boy." Vale and the snake man crossed swords with one another "If you keep this up for 1000 no 10000 more years you may land a hit on me."

"But, I will still dodge it." the snake man said with a grin on his face.

"You have no luck boy, fighting against a strong opponent like me." he continued provoking Vale as they fought with one another.

"Clang."

Sword clash after sword clash between the two men and yet it yields no result although there was a big difference between the two men's sword style one is fighting with pure skill while the other one only fought with instinct and willpower.

"Also, this is your first battle isn't it?" The snake man predicted that this was the first time Valerius used a sword against someone in a duel. "I can tell the way you use your sword, you know?"

"Clang"

They crossed swords one more time but the results remained the same. No matter the time they crossed swords the results would come out to be the same.

(I have to think of a plan to kill this bastard. Partly because he annoys me and partly because of the exp I will gain from defeating a strong monster like him or wait is he a sub species of humans, then can I call him a monster? Will I gain exp if I fight and kill humans?)

As they were about to clash with swords one more time something happened the snake man showed an opening although whether it was intentional or a mistake was yet to be seen. Valerius seeing an opening, what would he do?

"An opening? huh, all those talks and yet you are showing an opening this early in battle or wait is this a bait?" Valerius had the caution with the curiosity of attacking him and gaining an advantage mixed with his thoughts."If it's a bait it's a dangerous one" Valerius thought to himself.

"Anyways if I am given a chance then I will take it" Valerius made the mistake of biting the bait knowing it could be a dangerous one.

"As he was about to attack the snake man on his right flank the snake man suddenly let go of his sword and caught the sword with his both hand" Valerius was surprised but happy with the fact that he had an upper hand

against the enemy.

(Huh, as i thought it was not a bait it was a genuine opening)

Thinking that he tried to free his sword from his hands so he could easily attack the snake man's unarmed self, as he was about to do so the snake man suddenly used his tail to wrap around his abdomen.

(Its useless you cant win the moment you let go of your sword you already lost, wrapping your tail around me so you can restrict my moment wont work i will wi-)

"Huh?" Valerius wasn't expecting that and was surprised.

Suddenly the arms holding his sword increased in power and "thud" the sword that he was holding was thrown away to a far away place from him, he was surprised by the sudden move and he tried to regain his composure, as he tried to make some distance between them but it was no use the tail holding him had a firm grip."

(Damnit, damnit what do i do now?)

As he was thinking that suddenly a fist landed on his face for the first time, second time and many more times, his face was already bleeding from the attacks that were hitting his face.

"Oi, boy I forgot to ask but what is your name?" The snake man surprisingly asked about Vale's name in the mid battle. It seems the snake man was interested in Vale.

"Vale-"

"Huh?"

"ITS VALERIUS,

YOU BASTARD."

"It's a good name But, it's no use you will be dying here" declared the snake man as he kept punching Vale.

As he was punching Valerius, Valerius was doing nothing but blocking his attacks. some he blocked some he couldn't but most importantly, he was thinking of a way to get out of this situation.

(Think Vale, quickly think)

"Hey, you bastard, at the end you are just a reptile don't become too prideful. Because all you used was your stupid reptilian tail you couldn't beat me in a sword fight-" the snake man was surprised a little by Valerius' provocation.

"Huh? What is this? Are you trying to provoke me?" the snake man started laughing after saying this.

"What a rookie move, It's no use, it wont work."

"Tch" Valerius clicked his tongue on seeing his trick fail.

As the snake man slightly loosened the grip of Vale's body. Vale quickly reacted, he tried to break free his body completely from his tail but nothing seemed to work.

(This wont work i have to think of a different plan)

As the snake man was attacking he suddenly stopped.

"Hey, My name is Fang."

"Why did you join this fight? you are weak." Fang declared that Valerius was weak which upset him greatly but still not enough to lose his composure again.

"As he started attacking again, Vale suddenly tried to duck to protect himself from his attack."

"Here is the opening."

"Vale ducked and bit the part of Fang's tale."

"Surprised by the sudden move Fang tried to shake Vale off from his tail. He tried punching him in his head but Vale moved away from the tail and the attack missed Fang was shocked by the sudden move and during this shock his grip on his tail loosened. Sensing the opening, Vale quickly tried to free himself."

"Yes it worked"

"Vale quickly tried to move away from Fang but stopped midway instead of that he tried punching Fang. Fang sensing the opportunity to attack again tried to grab his hand but to his surprise vale quickly moved to left of Fang and dodged his attack instead of a moving away he quickly closed the gap between both of them and-"

"Thud"

A fierce punch hit Fang.

"drip" "drip"

"Blood was flowing from Fang's nose and mouth after getting hit, Fang lost his composure for some time as this was the first time in many decades that he was punched."

(His one punch is this strong if given time and training this boy no, Valerius can become very strong)

"Oi Valerius, why are you wasting your effort in protecting that bitch rather why don't you join me? you have potential you dying here will be a waste for this world. Join me and you will reach new heights unimaginable by anyone. I will make you the best fighter in this world."

(Joining him? What is this old man saying? did he finally lose his mind from one punch?)

"I think you are misunderstanding something I am not fighting to protect her rather i am fighting because I want to"

"I will kill all you bastards And you, I am saving you and this is your reaction.

"Stingy" complained Seraphina to Valerius.

"Stop it genuinely" Valerius said to Seraphina who was pouting cutely in the middle of the fight.

"Oi, stop you stupid couple!" exclaimed Fang

"Heh, Heh" Seraphina was smiling from ear to ear.

"Oi Seraphina stop blushing, also we are not a couple." Valerius said, blushing heavily.

"And I don't want to join you old man, I will get stronger on my own, I don't need a

nyone." stated Valerius.

Anyways let's restart our battle." declared fang as he got ready for the second round of the fight against Vale.
