"Step off the track" it demanded.
From my whole being, I really really pray no one find this poem relatable.

I stepped out,
Out of my zone,
Swarm of city lights,
Buzz of car engine,
All crowded my ears.
People’s walked by,
Eyes containing judgement,
My focus on breathing,
Fighting with heartbeat,
“Step off the track” it demanded.
My knuckles white,
Drop of blood on the asphalt,
A sting travelled from palm to brain,
A signal my body denied.
With clammy palms I took another step,
One step, two steps,
Pause,
A man,
a wolf ready to tear me.
But he turned, leaving me in spiral,
A inhale and I ran,
Past him,
Inside my sanctuary,
Back to my zone,
Where no monster would no I exist.
