Plantsing to Publish: *My* Skool Community
By writers, for writers — but we're not just fiction.
Find Your People. Finish Your Draft.
Crossing the line from "I'm working on something" to "I wrote this" rarely happens in isolation. It happens when you have somewhere to show up, someone expecting you, & a group of people who get it because they're in it too.
That's Plantsing to Publish.
I created it at the behest of a Zoom group (for a big website) that I volunteer co-host Sprints on… Writers there wanted to get more: Sprints, Connection, Collaboration, & y'know it - CRITIQUES!
When Skool unveiled their Hobby plans - I knew it was the right home to setup shop - where community isn't just a buzzword (it's the real deal).
We run LIVE body-doubling Sprints 365*, Crits, + OFC obligatory Book Club in a space where every format, genre, & exp level is welcome!
We're not gatekeeping who counts as a writer & we embrace using our meeting times to do whatever you need to tend to in that moment - no pressure no word count checks and no reading your work aloud (unless you want to).

What the Community Looks Like
Live Sessions & Body-Doubling
⬦ Daily LIVE write-ins where you show up, do yo thang, & know others are plodding (sometimes plotting, even!) alongside you
⬦ Body-doubling is one of the most effective tools for ADHD & ND folks bc the presence of others doing focused work activates the same focus in you
⬦ No performance required - just show up & vibe
Less Stressy Accountability
Research on NDers consistently shows that informal collaborative strategies
from accountability check-ins to articulating thoughts verbally before writing
bolster self-regulation & time management in ways that solo systems simply don't
Plantsing to Publish is built around exactly that: community as infrastructure, not decor!
Who's There?
⬦ Writers from diverse backgrounds, all walks of life, celebrating all creeds & cultures - who are creating narratives across all genres & formats!
⬦ Neurodivergent creatives who've burned out on solo pomodoro sprints + NTs who tried it the Type A way, but now want to move with intention & network a wider audience (AKA make new friends)
⬦ People who want real community, not just a feed to scroll - the LIVEs are what it's all about, the "forum" isn't all that active bc we chat w each other during Sprints reguarly!
