Perfection is a myth
And you fell for it..
Mar 24, 2026 · 3 min read

I met many people keeping their drafts for days, weeks, months, even years.
Whenever I ask why, guess their answer — yes, “It’s not good.”
And guess the quality of the draft… yes, fucking nirvana.
Okay, forget others. I, myself, was the same.
When I look back at my works and pieces that I did because I was bored as hell and thought, “Duhhh, they must be bad.”
Keyword — must be.
I fucking assumed this “must be” bad from the fucking start.
What the heck was wrong with me?!!
Okay, I’m sorry, didn’t mean to cuss so much, but still, what the heck was wrong with me?
…
…
..
I need to calm down.
Okay, so what was I saying? Hmm, so we assume our drafts are not good enough to be posted, even if they are fucking nirvana.
Okay, here are FAQ, aka frequently asked questions…
Does your drafts look professional?
– Might not be the case.
Do your drafts have flaws?
– Obviously, they do.
Do your drafts not have structure?
– Again, might not be the case.
But should you never post it?
If your answer is yes… please do me a favor. Go to your sibling, best friend, partner, or your lovely mother and ask them to smack you hard on your head from my side.
You fucking fool, those are excuses. You get it? Excuses, E-X-C-U-S-E-S, excuses.
Excuses are useless statements given by cheaters to their partners, and right now you are the cheater convincing your mind.
Perfection is a myth and you guys fell for it.
So stop bullshitting and keeping your draft somewhere hidden, post it.
Let us hoomen devour it….
Let me ask you all something…
Do you guys know how people find if a bag is really from a brand or is fabricated?
Many must have no idea.
Many might say by looking at detailing.
Many might also say the one made to perfection is the real one.
So, to answer you all, yes, it is differentiated by looking for detailing and perfection.
Now, you will be thinking the bag which has finer details and is made to perfection must be the real one.
The answer is no. The one with flaws is the authentic one.
To solve the confusion… when something is real, it doesn’t try hard, but the fake one wants to be like the real one…
Flaws don’t make your pieces bad; they give them a life that makes it yours and yours only.
Same is the case with your bodies. Nobody is perfect. A term like perfect is only perspective because nothing is perfect.
So please engrave this line in your brain.
“Flaws make you and your stuff unique and authentic.”
Stop overthinking, nothing becomes perfect. When you read your old posts and drafts, you might feel they are cringe… edit them into 2.0… Never delete your first draft; I would never say to delete it.
I have already said it many times… but perfection is a myth… a total myth, made to stop you guys… I’m telling you.
So now scroll to the end, click on that cute little heart, comment if you wanna share anything, and then get your ass to go to the place or application you have your drafts saved and post it.
Right fucking now. GO, SHOO!

If it can be acknowledged that there are no wrong ways, as in, if it works or feels good to do 100 rewrites or 1 and done draft, or anything in-between, it's all good; agreeing on this, yes I was among the multitudes who fell for the belief of necessity to rewrite-rewrite-rewrite. But a couple months ago I had the idea to try going only forward, no looking back, no redoing. It was really different and daresay stimulating. Kept the exercises short (flash fiction territory), decide it's going to be say 500 words, start with a word or two and go until reaching the word count. Quite fun really.
I really loved the honesty in this post✨! And you are so, so right! I too wrote something regarding perfectionism on my recent post and I will say the same thing as I did there: Being alive is not perfect. Honestly, you gave a really good comparison with the designer bags and I really liked that. If you aim for perfectionism, it feels like you are trying hard to be like the original. If we aim for perfection, we are definitely going for making an “authentic” performance instead of a true essence. Loved this post!
