Music That Lingers In My Heart
Well let me explain, I heard a lot of new and old songs. This post is a little similar to the one I posted “Music is my soul”. Some songs just hit hard and makes you wanna cry. Some songs just asks you to dance, swirl and scream to the lyrics and have it on loop. Let me share those I felt like was the best. I will talk about four artists and best songs (in my opinion) from them.
TONY ANN
If you haven’t heard of him, I myself discovered him recently. He is a great Canadian pianist who compose beautiful melodies and music. His songs are just so beautiful, ethereal and to be honest it says so much without even saying anything. I have been listening these songs recently.
ICARUS
His no 1 hit Icarus is a hit for a reason, it is actually beautifully written. It is a contemporary and neoclassical piano composition, neoclassical means that it is a composition that takes inspiration from the classical era but is composed in the 20th century. It is called so because it utilizes the traditional classical piano techniques and blends it with the modern touches. It utilizes complex arpeggios, but actually his discography utilizes a lot of arpeggios as far as I’ve heard. Arpeggios are chords played note by note instead of together in rapid succession. It actually adds to the feeling of it. It has nothing else but piano.
Icarus become his viral hit, It reached 50 million streams as of May 2025, marking a significant milestone in his career. It also has a popular four hand version with Lang Lang, another legendary pianist.
Rush of Life
Rush of Life is an emotive, and again a neoclassical composition. It was released with his track ascension. It is a virtuosic composition, which means that it has great technical demands, it requires so much skills. This composition utilizes the 88 key range, it means it typically uses the whole piano which is 7 octaves and 4 extra notes. This song really sends a rush of happiness, been listening to on loop.
He created this piece while living in Los Angeles, California, drawing inspiration from the city’s environment, such as sunsets in Malibu, driving in the Hollywood Hills, and hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains and waited three years to release it.

Olivia Dean is a British singer — songwriter who you must know from the Grammys or from her new hits. She released her new album in 2025 called “The art of loving” which earned critical and commercial acclaim and her most successful album. It was even certified platinum in January 2026.
MAN I NEED
you must have clearly heard this song, this was her biggest hit single from her album, It was known for its catchy bossa nova and R&B blend. It topped charts in Australia and UK.
Olivia Dean said in an interview that she wanted to create song that would make her dance, and when she perform it live it would be like “woah” to her collaborators Tobias Jesso Jr and Zach Tobias , well that song fulfilled that wish and she said that that it started with a drum beat. She even talked about how she wanted it to have Michael Jackson-esque, that legendary man will never be forgotten and by the end of the week they had like three ideas and Olivia remembers driving from the studio playing that song on loop like the all of us, I mean me!! and felt that if she could listen to it like that, the fans would be able to too. Well, she never thought wrong, it indeed changed her life and ours as well, I mean mine!!.
She performed that banger in the Grammys and yay!! she won the best new artist category. Will never forget that beautiful moment ever!!
TALK TO ME!!
SO EASY (TO FALL IN LOVE)
It’s yet another banger single from Olivia Dean which is from the same album produced by Zach Nahome. It peaked at #3 on the UK Singles Chart and #14 on the Billboard Hot 100, showcasing themes of effortless, natural romance. It is a upbeat 70s inspired soul/pop song which beautifully delineated love should come natural and should be simple and shouldn’t come forced. It is brilliantly written, with lyrics honest and comforting. This song gained significant traction on TikTok and social media, with over 387,000 videos using the sound.
It is catchy and has a great melody and has well written chorus which is the foundation to any song in my opinion. Any song would peak with a beautiful chorus. Some songs get better after many listens (TLOAS FOR ME), but this one just gets stuck in your heart with just one listen.
BAD BUNNY
Bad Bunny is Puerto Rican singer, rapper and songwriter who has released many hit albums and holds the record for the most annual №1 finishes in Spotify history, topping Spotify Wrapped four times across 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2025. He has even dethroned Taylor Swift as the most listened artist.

LOOKED CUTE!! TAYLOR SWIFT AND BAD BUNNY TAKING PICTURES IN THE GRAMMYS.
DEBI TIRAR MAS FOTOS
It is the name of Bad Bunny’s sixth studio album as well as the single of that album. It translates to “I should have taken more photos”. It talks about his regrets of not taking enough photos to remember the moment. His performance of this in the super bowl was beautiful actually. It was nominated for Record and Song of the Year at the 68th Grammy Awards and heavily addresses the Puerto Rican diaspora experience. It also serves as a commentary to him seeing the Puerto Ricans moving to US mainland and his desire for them to stay. It debuted no 1 on the billboard top 200 and reached top 10 in five more countries.
It went viral on TikTok with people, as it was based on looking back at old memories. People used it to reminisce and dedicated it to their loved ones by putting their pictures which was precious to them. This trend was reacted by Bad Bunny which left him with tears.
GRACIE ABRAMS

Gracie Abrams is an American singer- songwriter who has become really successful recently. She has released projects like Minor and Good Riddance, and achieved major success with her 2024 album The Secret of Us. She become more well known from opening Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Most of her songs are amazing honestly, but let me share my all time favorites.
THAT’S SO TRUE
It is her viral hit single from her deluxe version of her album “THE SECRET OF US”. It topped charts in the UK, Australia, and Canada, while peaking at number four on the Billboard Global 200. It also peaked charts in Belgium (Flanders),Ireland, Lebanon, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway. It is her biggest ever hit, she has performed that in so many venues. It is such a catchy song, produced by Aaron Dessner. It always has me dancing!!. It was certified Gold or higher in sixteen countries including Diamond in France.
It actually become a viral hit even before it’s release due to her performing it in live concerts. Gracie posted a snippet of her playing the song acoustic with Hobert which spread quicker in TikTok. She along with Hobert even choreographed a lasso dance even before it’s release. There is a funny video when she sang it in the public before it’s release and thought that the fans wouldn’t know it. But the fans knew every word to it and she honestly was surprised by “WAIT YOU KNOW IT!!”.
I LOVE YOU, I AM SORRY
It is an another banger song which has a name similar to “I MISS YOU, I AM SORRY”. It was the third single from the album. The song was deemed one of best tracks from The Secret of Us by The Sydney Morning Herald and Hot Press, while Rolling Stone considered it one of the best songs of the year.
She has performed this at various venues as well, like Vevo, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and her own tour “The Secret Of us Tour’ and Saturday Night live. It is such a well composed song, she wrote this with Aaron Dessner and Audrey Nuna and recorded it in Aaron’s Long Pond Studio. If you are a Taylor Swift fan, yes, Folklore was recorded in the same venue. It was appreciated for it’s beautiful lyrics and melody. That song while travelling in the car at night just sends you to a different universe. It is my favorite song yet.
OTHER SONGS
Close to you, Difficult, I miss you, I am sorry, Where do we go now?, Camden are my other favorite songs from Gracie Abram’s discography. I have more but couldn’t think of them now.
CONCLUSION
These artists are the people whom I discovered recently and feel really happy that I did. Their songs just makes you either happy or sad, it either sends you dancing or singing or even both. These songs resonate with you or they make you feel like you’ve experienced something that you’ve never experienced before. It makes you feel like you are in love though you are not. I find most songs and music is based on romance and I am not a hater of it, but music can tell much more, it can influence people, it can touch their hearts. Romance is one of the things that you can write about, but there are so many things that needs to be sung or played about. Some people deal with their sorrow and depression by playing songs relating that situation. Playing a sad song and crying and screaming the lyrics and playing happy songs and dancing or enjoying to it are just what music is for.
IT IS A ESCAPE FROM ALL THE NOISE THAT’S OUT IN THE WORLD!!!!
HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT!! WELL I GAVE MY BEST AND WROTE ABOUT SONGS I REALLY LOVE, IT TOOK A LOT OF TIME, IT WAS REALLY HARD TO WRITE. HOPING FOR YOUR FEEDBACK.
THANKS A LOT
