Let me write poetry into your skin
A poem about entangled lives and bodies

Let me write poetry into your skin
Of raw desire and sacred sin
Let me etch into you my longing, my lust
As you try to resist, yet so eagerly give in
Like fire and ice our proximity clashes
My cold touch your release
Your burning skin singeing
My defense line with ease
Let my teeth taste your heartbeat
As it collapses against me
Let my lips read the secrets
Your shivers betray so intently
Let me decipher your language
And write my name into your syntax
Let me become the shape your edges crave
As you’re bleeding light to mend where my skin cracks
You whisper forevers into my mouth
And I swallow them whole
Drink your voice like it’s nectar
And bury the promise inside my bones
