Just a Little More

We were born with two mouths to feed;
We can’t help but take a bite
The anticipation makes us drool
Of pride, of sex, of food, of drugs
Just for a little more
Then once I’m full, I’ll be happy
So I press my tongue against jagged plates
Desperate for a feast of experience
As my mouth bleeds onto breakfast
Just for a little more
Our mouths stretch at the seams
Like a hook punctured the corner of our lip
We cruelly wrap our fist onto the hook
To pull our flesh further, taut, almost torn
Just for a little more
I know I cannot taste
But one more bite
Until I choke
On everything I’ve ever wanted
Please, just a little more
