on glass, on planks, on rocks,

With stray pixels in MS Paint,

On the side of an empty box -

I have done all the indigenous,

Quirky cartoon shit and used

the color of the wind and sand

And leaves, tree-skin bruised

By machete, unwieldy in hand.

I have wrought your portrait

With tomato and salt, cheese

Pearls to attenuate the curls,

I have you on the brain so late

And soon and dare I say, what

A fuss, how dare you make me

Swoon, like a rabbit on the moon.
