Alligator country might as well be
another country as Austria is
another country that is not little
Lichtenstein. But even our little
Lichtenstein, sweet as little Lichtenstein
must undoubtedly be, nudges a tad
too close for a poem hoping to taste
if just a quarter of one wee teaspoon,
what might be named raw exoticism.
So another country as Austria
is that is not Spain or Argentina.
No alligator country here. Too cold.
