DESTINY INTO HURRICANE

CHAPTER 3

Chrise was the first one to wake up, he rested his head on a wooden board so his head started twirling. He held his head and groaned “ugh”. He saw everyone lying still like dolls, they didn’t flinch, must be so tired. He stood up and took a deep breath.

He yelled ‘rise and shine, wake up everyone’.

Well no response other than Sander talking in his sleep “a little more mommy”.

Chrise hit his forehead and groaned and stamped his foot annoyed. He thought of giving it another try. Well, they should get going or who knows what will happen? this silence still creeps him out. He looked at the ticking clock, the time was already 12 PM.

He yelled ‘YOU IDIOTS!, wake up’. Everyone sprang up, they looked around and suddenly whipped their heads around at him and stared. They were in a befuddled state, their look said it all. Sander was the only one snoring loud, talking in his sleep again “mommy but I want to live”. oh, what a somniloquist. Endemi slapped on his eyes, he woke up and popped up suddenly.

He yelled ‘why is everyone gawping at me?, huh?’.

Melborn said ‘what else? you were the only one sleeping soundly..... and sleep talking’.

Chrise said ‘fine guys, let’s get the hell out of this creepy place, the smell is lurking more and more. What if it is lethal? we need to get out’.

Hernuil said ‘we’ll head downstairs and find if the front entrance is open?’.

Endemi said ‘but what if it is not? what if they closed it?’.

Chrise said ‘they don’t know our school in and out, what about the another gate?’.

Sander looked baffled and said ‘is there one like that?’.

Chrise mockingly said ‘now there is more hope, see our own pal doesn’t know it exists’.

Everyone stood up patting their legs, they shuddered from the sudden increase in temperature. So many uncanny things are happening, it feels super eerie. They hoped for the best and they couldn’t stop thinking about their parents. Sander’s wounds have healed a lot better. Their footsteps echoed through out and the silence intensified. They darted through the corridor, there were simply no people lying there. The elevator stood their in the far corner, they clicked the down symbol and waited for it. The elevator spoke and the door sprung open quickly. They hurried inside, Melborn pressed the ground floor button thrice annoyed. The door closed and the silence become more tangible. Were they somehow in outer space? why is it so silent despite all the chaos? The ground floor came, they walked outside and oh my god there were so many people there dead and wounded. They heard someone whine in pain, oh was it a living person? everyone looked side to side but no one seemed to be alive. But where was the sound coming from? they suddenly heard people talking. Oh lord, it was someone from behind the left wall.

‘was it the elevator? is it someone? go and check’.

Everyone panicked and went and hid behind the right wall. Someone came and checked the elevator, he yelled ‘there is no one here’. It was a man, very tall about 7 feet, wore a black T shirt and cream jeans. He had a very thin moustache and beard. His shoes seemed polished, must be something really expensive. His watch seemed to have been made of gold. He looked muscular and strong. He must be really affluent, he looked like someone from our islands. His accent said it all, they didn’t want to throw themselves into any peril and from looking at the situation, having a mole in our island is very likely.

Endemi whispered ‘what do we do?’.

Chrise whispered back ‘let’s wait till they go’.

The other guy spoke ‘look around, they must be hiding’.

Melborn said ‘oh lord, guys run’.

they ran and saw the garden door open, they went inside and hid themselves there. That guy’s footsteps grew near. Everyone was sweating, the garden door was closed. That guy went without looking inside, if he had, they’d all be cooked. They sighed and peered through the door, that guy yelled again ‘no one’s here’. Another footstep could be heard now.

‘must be little brats, they must have escaped’

The other guy was smoking a cigar and was looking taller and more muscular than the other one.

Endemi said nervously ‘are they somehow wrestlers? if we get caught, we will be mashed’.

Chrise quoted ‘one better than the other’.

Those two guys walked off somewhere while chitchatting about nuisance things. They came out of the door cautiously and ran off. The second entrance was coming near. They all ran while breathing heavily, sweating and panicking. The ground came into sight and beyond that is the entrance. They walked inside the ground, the sky turned dark all of a sudden. They ran and the entrance was now there, well it was not closed.

Endemi yelled ‘yes, it’s not closed, no one’s there’.

Chrise looked delighted, it was somehow his idea. They pranced all their way there and found the door still wide open. The road was clearly visible but there is not a single vehicle. The shutters of the shops were closed. There was not a single soul lurking by. Well explains the silence all along. They have no idea about what happened. The voice of those two guys suddenly came, They ran outside and found those two walking on the ground giggling and talking.

Endemi said ‘so what next?’.

Hernuil said ‘do any of you here clearly know about the Signal Barrier?’.

Chrise said ‘uhm, a little actually....... it was the barrier that protected us from The Sun Scissors, it was made by Unwolf Kitten’.

Melborn remarked ‘what a name’.

Chrise continued ‘It was made using the very advanced software created for making the Hedgehog Silverman. They used signals that went from one Island to another Island producing the barrier. The signal was transmitted from one Island’s main tower to another Island’s. There is a pattern to know from where to where the signal is transmitted, that is there is a total 9 islands, it went from one island to another and there is a pattern to from where it went to where. They utilized real hard programming and to break the barrier, you need to solve the pattern’s meaning which will allow you to find the pattern and also you need to be knowing another some sort of program which is very hard and will take years to find out and learn. You cannot break the Hedgehog Silverman which is a computer which keeps the barrier from not breaking. It can be only done from inside and not outside. The main tower where the computer is is the Ermile Tower. It is actually impossible for the people now to do it, it was made centuries ago’.

Sander blinked and said ‘how do you know this much?’.

He said ‘it’s like very important and it came in our subjects’.

They didn’t know what to do and didn’t even know where Ermile tower was. They were really confused to how this impossible thing happened. They felt like dying, but now the priority is to be safe to save their people.

Endemi said ‘let’s find our parents and ensure they are safe’.

Everyone nodded and accepted, this is actually the right thing to do.
