CHAPTER 6
They have come to the hardest part, they have to leave behind some of them but they also have to stay safe. Anytime and anywhere a problem could come, but their psychic might not respond to the situation properly. Once they walk further inside the Vivid Forest, their brain might get a little foggy. It’s just some phenomena the scientists couldn’t understand. This forest is really hazardous and perilous, any of them might fall anywhere without leaving traces, directly meaning falling into ginormous pits. They came to a decision, they were unequivocal about leaving the girls behind. But the girls couldn’t accept it, they knew they were not vulnerable and could fight as hard as the boys.
Endemi said ‘why is that? we could fight as well, don’t portray us weak. We ain’t what you think? I have blue belt in karate’.
Sander said ‘that’s seriously an old joke’.
Melborn said ‘she is not lying, she does have blue belt in karate’.
Chrise said ‘seriously, you don’t even look like that’.
Endemi said ‘that’s because you keep judging me wrong’.
Melborn said ‘I think leaving behind Sander is the best decision to me, he doesn’t look all nice to me, I mean look at the wounds he has got’.
Sander hissed ‘I am fine’.
Endemi stared at him with a judging look and scoffed ‘hmph, I mean look at you, yeah seriously, I am not the one who should stay back’.
Chrise nodded in denial and said ‘please!!, he knows better the surrounding than you. What do we do without him?’.
Endemi said with a grimace ‘oh I mean, can any of you fight?’.
while in all of this, Hernuil just stared between and went into a deep thought, he has never took part in conversations such as this or to be honest, he has never indulged in any conversations. His heart pounded as he has never seriously been part of a gang or he has never said anything with a comfortable face or he has never come up with a plan. He was gratified with his own actions. As these thoughts flooded his brain, the rest of the gang kept screaming at each other. Who knows? maybe in a few minutes they might be at each other’s throats or might even start pulling each other’s hair.
Chrise had to scream from his throat ‘oh calm down!! we should walk out of this forest before sunset. Are we even bothered about that? just compromise a little bit, I know all of us are capable of a lot, but for now, we can’t do anything about that’.
Endemi said ‘oh fine, but you all better be back in one piece, Imma gonna be stressed if you all don’t just change the world and bring it back to shape’.
Melborn just accepted with a nod, the fight just went down. Good for them.
Hernuil broke his silence once again terrifying the others ‘we could take one more, we can just take one more’.
Endemi screamed ‘what the hell? he spoke again’.
Melborn said ‘he’s kinda making that serious face all the time’.
Chrise said ‘what did you say?’.
Hernuil said ‘I said we can take one more’.
Sander rolled his eyes ‘why didn’t you just say it sooner?’.
Chrise said ‘then let’s take Endemi along’.
Sander yelled ‘you are saying we should leave one person here all alone when you just don’t know about the kind of creepy, shivering, gothic ghosts that might come and you know they look miserable under no light. You even said that there are weird animals that revolve around at night searching for it’s prey’.
Endemi said sarcastically ‘wow, that really helped, now Melborn feels super courageous that she can eat you up’.
Sander said with disgust ‘eat me up? disgusting’.
They all pondered for a while scratching their heads, the sun kept becoming dim. It frustrated them, it was a dire situation, if the sun goes down completely, the paranormal things as depicted by the ancient people might commence. Vivid Forest is actually feared because of it’s dark stories.
Chrise said ‘we can’t just leave her here with no one, so we take her along taking the risk’.
Hernuil spoke again ‘But it is very dangerous for all of us’.
Chrise said ‘we can’t do anything else, leaving her here is way more dangerous, we decided to take on this venture, we should face everything, come on’.
The sky started to lose it’s light, they followed Hernuil’s lead and walked listening to their own footsteps echoing.
Sander said ‘so why is it so silent?’.
Endemi mocked ‘why? you want a wolf to howl in your ears’.
Sander shivered and shut his mouth, they had no torch, the sun had set completely now. The darkness really sent shivers all through their body. After a while, they couldn’t see a thing, it was dark and they could see some patches of grey pf something. The stars twinkled, it was full moon. They could see it through the canopy, the brilliant white sphere sparking brightly in the sky.
Chrise said while smiling nervously ‘we might have to just find some fire, or we are cooked’.
Sander said ‘you are not helping dude’.
Endemi said ‘we need some fire to find the fire, ‘cause this place is too way to dark’.
Melborn said ‘you maybe right’.
The temperature began to fall down, it was so cold. They held themselves, shivering, they couldn’t breathe through the cold. The trees become wet, the leaves become crisp, they felt and touched it through their hands.
Sander said ‘impossible, I am not hoping to find a single wood here’.
Melborn said ‘even if it is there, you can’t see’.
Hernuil said ‘trying stamping with your feet, if you feel something hard, pick it up’.
Everyone shivered harder, they couldn’t bear him speaking once in a long time and that too in the most unexpected times.
Sander cried ‘stop ghosting us’.
They stamped through out, they found nothing. They just gave up and tried to gather themselves by clapping. They clapped and followed the sound, they gathered themselves. They gasped and sighed and looked hopelessly around.
Chrise said ‘we’ll take shelter and start tomorrow’.
Melborn said ‘but tell me where?’.
Chrise said ‘right here, but someone should stay awake and see to that no danger comes, we’ll take turns’.
Melborn said ‘I don’t feel like sleeping, I will see to it’.
Sander said ‘I will go next’.
They all slept round the same tree and went into a slumber. With no light and nothing, Melborn just relied on her hearing sense. This whole thing looked scarier, for them they never expected that their lives would be put into such a situation. The island’s destiny to never fall apart instead fell into an absurd situation like this into an unexpected hurricane.
