I tried. Oh did I ever try Texas to love more than your BBQ, some of your music(George Strait is one of your better exports), and yes the people.

Don't get me wrong Texas, all in all, your people are not outta their damn minds, but come on now. I am not quite sure if the problem is your Texas heat, or your fine Texas oil and gas refineries spewing for the intoxicating fumes. I am sure there are many more problems, but I will not address those problems for they are as glaring as the neon sign blinking "Live Nudes"

Texas, oh sweet Texas you are big. You are beautiful. And I am not quite over you yet. There is a sweet Texas man just waiting for me. Are you laughing yet Texas?

I miss home every day. The Gulf, East Texas woods, mockingbirds... I carry it all in me. The reasons I left mean I'll never be able to go back. It's often weird to have my heart broken by missing things I'm also glad to have left behind.
