Chapter 2, Scene 1

It is cool in the interrogation room, where Maura has been waiting for what feels like half an hour.
Finaly the door opens and a smiling detective with a tech-screen sits across from her and introduces himself as Detective Marv.
“Sooo, what brings you here this time?” Detective Marv asks in an annoyingly amused tone.
“I don’t know. I didn’t bring myself here,” Maura says in annoyance.
“Okay. I’ll rephrase it. Why were you skulking around with seed bombs and a launcher?” Detective Marv asks with less amusement.
Just in time, the door flies open and Dima walks in.
“Detective,” says Marv with a boyish smile.
Dima hides zir disgust behind a meek smile.
Dima looks at the file in zir hands as if z didn’t know everything z needed to know about zir dear friend currently being interrogated.
“Hmm,” Dima exhales, looking up from the file.
Marv and Maura look zir way.
“You’ve been here quite a lot,” Dima says, barely looking up at Maura.
Maura stares straight ahead, making no response.
“I see; we are being silent today,” says Dima
“Well, I’d like you to know there is a way to get yourself out of this,” Dima follows with.
Maura remains silent.
“Okay, we’ll talk again tomorrow,” says Dima with a relaxed smile on zir face.
Before leaving the room Dima looks at Marv with zir all business expression and tells him to put Maura up in a cell.
A very self-satisfied Marv grips Maura’s arm and pulls her along a seemingly endless corridor, before throwing her in a tiny windowless cell.
Welp, this is fun, thinks Maura, looking up at the high gray ceiling, housing the sole vent in the stuffy cell. Hope plan B works.
