Movies
21 Jump Street- Lord, Miller - 4/5 stars - rewatched
Nickel Boys - RaMell Ross - 5/5 stars - genuinely one of the most interesting movies I have seen especially after reading the novel. I thin that this is one movie everyone should see - it is a historical fiction about Dozier School for Boys, a reform school in FL that was opened from 1900-2011 that had several allegations against them of violence. Further, the movie itself it shot in first-person and it is so interesting! Everybody go watch it now or read the book or look up Dozier.
Oliver & Company - Scribner -3.5/5 stars
Tarzan - Buck, Lima - 4/5 stars - banger soundtrack
The Tempest - Julie Taymor - 1.5/5 stars - rewatched - holy moly y’all I love Taymor and a lot of the actors in this movie, but truly what is going on and I had to rewatch it for Shakespeare call me Ariel the way I want to be free of this movie
Sita Sings the Blues - Nina Paley - .5/5 - I am normally generous with my rankings but no - it’s interesting way to tell the story of the Ramayana, but from a terf no thank you
Wild Things - McNaughton- 2/5
