an untitled poem
about platonic love
I wrote this a few years ago – I dug it out from my Notes app drafts and thought I'd share it here to test out Wrizzit's post feature. I hope you like it, and if this is the first time you've encountered my writing, hi it's nice to meet you!
I hope you never stop
Gushing about little things
Making you love being alive
There will never be enough words
For flowers/freckles/sunsets/rainbows in windows
I want to know the reasons you’re joyous
To see love through your eyes
Whether it’s the ocean or the coffee
Made by someone who gives you
Butterflies
Whether it’s photos in scrapbooks
Pressed with nostalgia and glue
I hope you write poems like it’s all brand new
Never been written, never been touched
Never been loved like it’s loved by you
Maybe we can love those things together
Bathe in sunlight like we’re married to it
Until we wed our lovers
Knowing what we have is treasure too
There will never stop being
Shining love I have for you
