4/8/25 - My Life is a Mixture of Poetry and Prose
A passage from my journal.
There are days I write poems about the men I love. Other days I write down pieces of my heart that still feel too vulnerable to be shared, but I know there will be a time for them to be read — either for myself to rediscover or for the eyes of another.
Perhaps it is both.
My life is a mixture of poetry and prose. As long as I breathe, I’ll hold a pen and my journal to immortalise my thoughts as they came in stanzas and lines, sentences and paragraphs, and sometimes intertwined in ways that its form hardly differs from the other.
So, I decide what they mean — my musings, and sometimes my muses — what form speaks what my words do not.
That’s when I know I’ve written from feelings, from heart, and not just wandering thoughts that so easily can have its meaning disappear.
What this means to me... could never be erased, even if I crossed it out with my pen.
Thank you for reading the first passage from my journal — a memoir series here on Wrizzit!

I love how you savour the very process of writing. I do that too. It’s so special, and no one can take that away from us.
